Immediate Effect. Lasting Impact.
The Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law has provided family law and domestic violence services and education to thousands of very low-income persons in Los Angeles County for over three decades thanks to the generosity of our donors–private individuals, firms, businesses, and foundations.
The Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law Century Campaign allows a greater portion of donor funds to be used to accomplish their goal of helping low-income families. The Century Campaign directs the limited resources and staff time of the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law to its central purpose: free legal assistance and education for very low-income persons.
The Century Campaign is one way to ensure the continuation of Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law services and programs for generations to come. In the following video, six Century Campaign 2013 donors speak intimately of the legal hurdles faced by poor litigants in family law cases in Los Angeles, the need for the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law, and why supporting the Center through the Century Campaign is important to them.
You are invited to join in our effort. You hold the keys to our success and can make a difference every day in the lives of domestic violence victims and poor children. Your generosity will support the Center in a number of important ways:
- A $10,000 gift will help to provide comprehensive legal consultation and advice to 53 extremely low-income persons.
- A $5,000 gift will help to assist 2 low-income dads wanting to establish paternity.
- A $2,500 gift will help to support one very low-income victim of domestic violence with ongoing services.
