New Volunteer Orientation October 15th
The Center simply couldn’t do without our dedicated volunteers! Which is why, in an effort to offer new volunteers more frequent on-boarding opportunities, the Center has adopted a new volunteer training process. The pilot program is launching on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, starting with our New Volunteer Orientation (NVO). Interested lawyers, law students, and law school graduates may sign up using the link below. Please share with friends, colleagues, or others who you think may be interested!
At the in-office orientation, prospective volunteers will receive an overview of our volunteer programs and client services. There will be opportunities to ask questions, receive help filling out the volunteer application, and speak to current volunteers about their experiences. Click here for more information.
After the orientation, new volunteer candidates will be sent a link to our online training materials that they can complete on their own schedule. Volunteers who complete the online training will then be scheduled for a practice session at the Center to finish their training and on-boarding process.
If you would like to participate in our pilot program as a current volunteer in order to provide feedback, please contact Taryn May, Volunteer Coordinator, at tmay@hbcfl.org.
