Meet Our New Director of Administration

We are pleased to announce that Noquomas Wilson has joined our team as Director of Administration! In this role, Noquomas will oversee all administrative aspects of finance, human resources, technology, and operations of the organization, as well as government grant management and compliance.

Noquomas holds a B.A. in Mass Communication with a minor in Marketing from California State University-San Bernardino and an MBA with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership from National University. She has worked in the non-profit sector for over 15 years, predominately in the social services field. Most recently, Noquomas has been a freelance consultant for eight years and also served as Chief Operating Officer at the LGBTQ Center of Long Beach.

Noquomas’ years of experience in organizational operations and administration will help to ensure that the Buhai Center operates effectively and efficiently. “I like to make sure things in the background run smoothly so that everyone can focus on the work at hand,” Noquomas says. “I would hate to find out someone didn’t receive the service they needed because our business foundation wasn’t solid.”

Along with her many years of experience and expertise, Noquomas brings a passion for social justice. “What drew me to the Buhai Center is its mission,’ says Noquomas. “I believe it is my personal mission to help as many people as possible and so I strive to work for organizations that do the same.” Noquomas is looking forward to contributing to growth at the Buhai Center. “The need for our services is growing rapidly…. I am excited to grow the staff, so we can assist more clients and expand the reach of our mission”.

Please join us in welcoming Noquomas to the Buhai Center. We are thrilled to have her experience, expertise, and dedication to our mission as we grow and expand our capacity to serve our community. Together we will continue to protect victims of domestic violence, improve the well-being of children living in poverty, and provide access to justice for low-income individuals. Welcome to the team, Noquomas!
